Formerly known as the First Nations Ballet Ensemble, the Yurali Ensemble Ballet is a free school holiday training program designed to nurture and empower First Nations youth through the art of ballet. Open to young people aged 3–18, the ensemble welcomes dancers of all experience levels — from those taking their first steps to seasoned performers seeking deeper cultural and creative connection.
Yurali — meaning Eucalyptus Blossom in Wiradjuri — beautifully captures the essence of the program. Chosen for its visual resemblance to a tutu skirt, the name symbolises the blossoming of identity, creativity, and community through movement.
This ensemble is proudly supported by Create NSW and the generous donors and sponsors of The ELLA Foundation.
